Labour Union
Akmenes Cementas AB Labour Union was established on 8 March 1991. On 4th December 1992 company’s collective agreement that is periodically updated and supplemented was signed. Rights and obligations of workers are laid down there.
Akmenes Cementas AB Labour Union is a voluntary, independent and separate organization which unites company workers and represents their interests in negotiations on working conditions, wages, rest and leave, staff reduction and other economical and social issues. It unites over 300 members.
Activities of Labour Union are based on laws of Lithuania Republic, Labor Code, Collective Agreement and the Articles of the company.
The main aim of Labour Union is to negotiate, sign and control implementation of company’s collective agreement.
The representatives of Labour Union participate in the Occupational Safety and Health Committee to create safe and healthy working conditions.
Representatives of Labour Union periodically organize training for workers, other sport and cultural arrangements, summer rest of workers and their families, are concerned about workers treatment and rehabilitation in sanatorium.
